Types of outdoor stoves

Outdoor stoves: Which model to choose?

With the arrival of autumn, we have already left behind the hot days of spring and summer giving way to a time of year where we will be accompanied by freezing temperatures for a few months in which most activities are performed indoors.

But why would we have to give up spending time outdoors when we can fight the cold with an outdoor stove? In this article we are going to help you choose the one that best suits your outdoor space or terrace so you can extend your meals or enjoy a dinner with an atmosphere of comfort and an ideal temperature. Do not miss it!

The best heating system for outdoor spaces.

From Simex we offer you the best heating system for outdoor spaces, since we have butane and propane gas stoves. In addition, our stoves for terraces and exteriors are available in two designs: mushroom stove and pyramidal stove. It should be noted that both can be easily moved thanks to its wheels, a feature that helps to adapt to the needs of each moment. On the other hand, and very important, all our outdoor stoves have a safety system in case of overturning, and include regulator, hose and wheels.

In what spaces are outdoor stoves most useful?

Outdoor stoves are very useful in private spaces such as the garden or terrace of a private home, or in public places, such as the exteriors of different types of businesses, bars, restaurants, hotels, etc.
In the case of business use, this product provides multiple benefits, as it helps customers to consume products/services in a warm and pleasant environment in the coldest months of the year.

What you must take into account before installing an outdoor stove

Before installing stoves in an outdoor space you will have to have planned well a series of aspects. On the one hand, you will have to determine the number of stoves you will need, since it must be taken into account that each one of them has a coverage area of between 20 and 25 square meters. Likewise, if the terrace to be covered has, for example, an area of 100m2, you would need four stoves to achieve optimal air conditioning in the entire space. And when placing them, they will have to be sufficiently separated from each other to cover the whole area (it is important to note that, for safety reasons, there must always be a minimum of one meter of separation between stoves).

On the other hand, it is essential to follow all the safety instructions of the stove you choose to buy before its installation, and always consulting previously the city council regulations regarding the use and permits for the placement of this type of products.

Different models of outdoor stoves

We are going to present the options that we offer you from Simex so that you can get to know them and, subsequently, you can choose the model that best suits your needs.

Pyramidal outdoor stove: Made of stainless steel and anti-fingerprint sanitized finish, its fuel is butane/propane. Its coverage area is 20m2. In case of overturning, the cas cut occurs, and it moves with wheels.

Outdoor mushroom stove (available in black or glossy finish): Made of stainless steel, its fuel is also butane/propane. Its coverage area is 25 m2, and as in the case of the pyramidal, there is also gas cut-off in case of overturning and it moves by means of wheels.

Differences between butane and propane.

As you have read, our stoves can be used with butane or propane fuel. Do you know the differences between the two? We’ll explain it to you, take note!
To introduce these two fuels, it should be said that both are hydrocarbons of the alkane family extracted in the fractionation of oil and natural gas. Both, however, are blended to improve their properties: commercially available butane gas is composed of 60% butane, 30% isobutane and 10% propane; and propane is composed of 80% propane and the rest of C4 hydrocarbons such as butane and isobutane.

One of the most notable differences between the two is their resistance to low temperatures. Although both have a high calorific value, due to their high boiling point, butane is not recommended for very cold areas, since the cylinder may stop gassing due to the cold. On the other hand, propane is suitable for any type of climate.
On the other hand, it must also be taken into account that butane is only sold in cylinders, while propane is sold packaged, piped or in bulk.
